SUNBEAM GROUP OF EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS, VARANASI (5TH EDITION OF ASPIRATIONS INTER SCHOOL ONLINE DISCURSIVE THINKING EXPLORATION)

In Whispered hopes or written lines,
It shapes our world, it draws our signs.
Without its light, we’d walk alone –
For words make every voice our own

5th edition of Aspirations – an inter-school online discursive thinking exploration conducted from 18th to 20th July 2025. The event brought together over 10,000 participants from 38 schools across the country. It served as a powerful platform where young minds met legendary milestones, brimming with creativity, ideas, and confidence. The entire event was wonderfully curated by Mr. Pranav Mukherjee.

From Rajmata Krishnakumari Girls’ Public School, five students participated in various categories. In the multi-level debate competition, Sanvi Jain of Class VIII and Pearl Rathi of Class VII represented our school. The selection process within the school was rigorous and included several rounds—from pre prepared debate, to on-the-spot and finally online debates—after which these two brilliant debaters were chosen.

The event began with an opening ceremony on Friday, 18th July followed by a creative writing activity. In this category, Divisha Dalal of Class VIA, Tamanna Bhawnani of class VIIB and Vanshika Gandhi of VIIIB participated and impressed the judges with their expressive and original writing. Divisha Dalal, secured Second Position in Dribble writing and Tamanna Bhawnani shone at First Position in micro fiction.

The   second day witnessed the Preliminary round of the debate competition. Out of 38 schools, only 6 schools advanced to the final round.

Our school team shone brightly, leaving a strong mark in the finals among the best-performing schools. Saanvi Jain was declared the Best Speaker, for Plurilogues, Multi – Format Debate, our team was declared the Best Delegation and the overall champions of the whole event. The debate and creative writing competition was a remarkable display of the girls’ alertness, creativity, and eloquence. It served not just as a platform for debating, but also as a powerful confidence-building exercise for these young, vibrant minds. Through this experience, they gained a deeper understanding of the kind of competition they will face in the wider world. The event brought immense joy and pride, especially as our school stood out among many prestigious institutions — ultimately being declared the Best Team and the Best Overall School. A truly proud moment for all.

This was not just a competition, but a celebration of ideas, expression, and confidence.
