SAFETY AND SECURITY
Cleanliness, Sanitation, Hygiene, Transport, Water Supply, Fire Safety and Healthy Meals together form a part of Safety and Security of the students of Rajmata Krishna Kumari Girls’ Public School, Jodhpur thereby facilitating increased attendance and health safety of students. RKK being an important stakeholder undertakes all positive steps and measures for the well-being of its students.
SAFETY FIRST - Background verification of Staff Members and Support Staff is done at the time of appointment. Entry and Exit times of Visitors is strictly maintained in record book.
FIRE SAFETY SYSTEM
All necessary precautions & preventions have been taken by RKK to prevent any untoward incident from happening in case of a fire outbreak. There is advance Fire Safety System installed in the school to immediately respond when smoke or fire is detected. Regular Drills and Fire Safety Workshops are conducted from time to time to educate the Students, Academic and Administration Staff and Support Staff on emergency procedures. Fire Alarm, Fire Safety Regulations, Fire Sprinkler Systems, Fire Pumps, Pipe Networking, Fire Extinguishers, Fire Evacuation Action Plan, Kitchen Fire Suppression System are all set in perfect place and order in school at all centrally important points to work together effectively and efficiently in diffusing fire and to decrease commotion and chaos during an emergency. Certificate of Fire Safety has been awarded to school by the Municipal Corporation, Jodhpur.

COMMERCIAL WATER PURIFIER
In order to ensure health safety, prevention from water borne diseases, the school has a Commercial Water Purifier, RO Plant installed within the premises. It provides adequate and regular filtered water to all points, water coolers and school kitchen. Water storage tanks are duly covered and protected. They are monitored and maintained regularly. This advance RO Plant has the capacity to purify 2000 litres water per hour. It is regularly maintained by trained service technicians and troubleshooting, if any, is treated on priority basis. Water samples are sent for Lab Testing twice a year.
SANITATION & HYGIENE
The school caters to the special needs of adequacy and privacy of the girl students. Sessions are conducted in association with Proctor and Gamble from time to time to generate awareness among students and parents. Adolescent Education & Value Education are a part of our school curriculum. School has its own manufacturing unit of Sanitary Napkins. They are distributed free of cost in nearby villages and schools to poor and needy girls and women. RKK ensures Safe Menstrual Health of Girls and Females.
SAFETY FROM WATER HAZARDS
Adequate number of Washrooms, Washbasins, regular and adequate supply of running water, sufficient hand washing stations, clean drinking water stations, proper drainage, placement of dustbins and trash bins, arrangement of safe disposal of waste etc. are some of the focus areas of the school to ensure safety and sustainability with regard to health and environment safety.
SOLAR PANELS
Solar Panels are installed in school on rooftop to save electricity. Classrooms are airy, spacious, well lit and well ventilated. Staff and students keep in tune with eco-friendly activities and sustainable habits like switching off smart boards, monitor, fans and lights when not in use.

Music Room
Music is given prime importance as a part of the School Curriculum that offers creative challenges, aesthetic appreciation, self-expression and self-discovery opportunities to its students. By promoting Music education, RKK’s aim is to foster inter disciplinary learning, appreciation for music, build self-esteem, teach critical skills, social skills and enhance creativity and innovation. From Math and Science to History & Geography, Music supports our subject areas and keep students engaged in class. The genre of Music ranges from Raags - Shlokas and Bhajans to English Classical and Fusion. The school boasts of a highly accomplished Music Staff and well-equipped Music Rooms. The school has its own Indian Classical and Western Orchestra. All basic musical & rhythm instruments are available to the students like the Harmonium, Tabla, Sitar, Guitar, Piano, Dhol, Flute, Swar Mandal, Synthesiser, Zylophone, Drums, Keyboard and many more. Video Editing, Video Shooting, Recording and Studio facility is also provided. The curriculum is customized for each section of the school starting from Pre-Primary to Class XII. Dance Room
RKK feels extremely proud to have been honoured with the patronage of renowned classical exponents in Bharatnatyam, Kathak, Rajasthani and Western. The school has a mesmerizing Dance Room where students are taught techniques & movements ranging from Folk Dance, Classical Dance to Western Dance by highly qualified teachers. With regular classes in Folk, Contemporary and Classical techniques - Creative Workshops are held from time to time to enhance knowledge and develop their choreographic manoeuvres. Our dance programmes, Spic Macay, participation in events and activities on national & international platform reflect on a range of social and cultural contexts that allows the flow of creativity.
Auditoriums
One of the biggest attractions of RKK is its Auditorium – Badan Rangshala which is designed in adherence to the state of art eco-friendly specifications. An architecturally beautiful structure, it is widely used as an integral domain of the school designed with latest sound, light and projection systems. The seating capacity is for 400 people and has been the centre stage for Dramatics, Debates, Dances, Musical and other assigned functions – be it Multimedia Presentations, Inter-House Competitions, Special Assemblies, Conclaves and Conferences etc.
Amenities here are tailored to provide the audience with an unforgettable experience. From plush seating arrangement, proper lighting, provision of latest technology, the venue stands as a testament to RKK’s student-centric vision. Here, the events are visualised, realised, created and displayed alive. The state-of-the-art AV technology ensures clear and engaging communication. The stage has a control room, two green rooms on the rear side, projection screen, motor controlled curtains and light arrangements. There are six exit/entry points – two at the rear, two in the middle and two in the front. Besides, there are two separate entry/exist doors on either side of the stage. The Auditorium also has an entrance lobby and washrooms for convenience of the audience/viewers/invitees.
Theatre
RKK aims to prepare students to comprehend the world better, be better equipped to navigate the future challenges, gain important life skills, develop cognitive abilities, learn the value of both positive and constructive critical feedback, build confidence and to celebrate the richness and depth of human expression in all its forms. For an all-rounded education, Theatre classes in RKK by trained and experienced faculty not only engages the students but also develops the creative side of their brain and provides an ideal balance in their patterns of study.
School Band
The Pipe Band of RKK is a musical ensemble consisting of 33 well-dressed Pipers and Drummers. The School Pipe Band was initiated in the year 2012 and is an integral part of the prestigious institution to date. The Band consists of 18 Bagpipers with 18 Practice Chanters, 8 Side Drummers, 2 Tenor Drummers, 1 Bass Drummer, 3 Cymbal Players and 1 Leader with Ceremonial Stick. The School Bagpiper Band under the able guidance of a full-time Bagpiper Band Instructor for the benefit of the students is an icing on the cake. The School Band proudly plays for grand occasions such as Junior and Senior Annual Days, Investiture Ceremony, March Part Competition, Sports Day, Opening & Closing Ceremonies of various Conferences and Conclaves etc. It has also displayed its super skills on Jodhpur District Republic Day Celebration at Umaid Stadium.

“Reading maketh a man” This art is dying but RKK encourages children to experience the joy of reading a book and entering into a different world altogether. For this a well-equipped library exists to fulfill all needs.
The school Library provides information to inculcate ideas and develops knowledge that is very essential to function successfully in today’s information and knowledge-based society. It is equipped with Educational, Wild Life & Environment CDS & DVDs and efficient use of audio visual aids to improve students’ critical & analytical thinking. New Book Display : All the books added into the stock are displayed on New arrival display stand to bring them to the notice of students and staff.
Reader Service : School has a library period in the Time – Table for all classes. Students come to the library during this period to issue OR return the books.
Library software : School has it own Library Software for smooth & efficient functioning.
Books Fair : School arranges Book Fairs in the School Campus inviting Distributors / Publishers / Companies to put up stalls for display and sale of their books. These Book Fairs give parents and students an opportunity to see what is available in the market without travelling place to place. Students also help to select the books for the library.
E-Learning Facilities
The great growing engine of change is technology. RKK has always embraced the changes by adopting the latest technological advancements. All sixty classrooms and laboratories have Interactive Flat Panels with LMS installed. To facilitate all the tech-friendly staff members, Computers and Internet Access has been provided. A team of IT Professionals under the Dean IT provide technical support and facilitates staff as well as students with various IT solutions.
Medical Facilities
RKK operates a well-equipped and well-ventilated infirmary manned by two trained Nurses who undertake regular check-up for all the students and are available 24x7 in school premises. The infirmary constitutes clean hygienic beds and has sufficient stock of the necessary medicines for immediate relief and care. Medical attention to sick and first-aid in case of any injury is provided to the students. Parents are informed immediately in all cases of urgent treatment or if it is required to consult a doctor for further treatment. There are visiting doctors from top hospitals for periodical check-ups. Care is taken for the following -

Pre Primary Play Area
The Pre Primary Play Area of RKK embraces the notion that 'Play is the work of the child.' The Splash Pool, Sandpit and various play equipment, along with carefully chosen toys such as Beads, Strings and Links, serve as essential tools for fostering Fine and Gross Motor Skills. RKK’s Boarding : A Home Away from Home
The boarding of Rajmata Krishna Kumari Girls’ Public School started on 24th October 1997. It has two Residential Blocks namely Hemlata Rajye Hostel that houses three dormitories to accommodate 50-55 girls each and Meera Hostel with three dormitories to accommodate 30-35 girls each. All dormitories have 10-15 well-equipped washrooms. Every boarder is provided with a full-size cupboard and a bed to create her own space. All the dorms have a separate experienced Warden assisted by a hostel attendant who provides personalized care to all the girls. Facility of a separate room with attached washroom is provided to all the Wardens. There is a Housemistress to handle and regulate the Pastoral Care with all Wardens under her. The boarding has an in-house staff of 32 academic teachers residing in the campus and are available to the students 24X7 for any kind of help and assistance. In-House teachers are provided separate rooms with all facilities. The Principal’s residence is also in campus and so the boarding is always under the direct supervision of the Principal. Boarding and In-House staff avail the facility of mess which serves five meals a day. The menu for the mess is planned strictly in consultation with a dietician. Each boarding house has a recreational room which has the facility of viewing Television & Reading and a common basement which has the facility of all indoor games. The boarding house also has an Infirmary, looked after by two nurses who stays in the campus and takes care of the wellbeing of all. After school, the boarders follow the planned boarding schedule under the able guidance of Wardens and a talented lot of In-House staff.

Dining & Messing at Annapurna
The dining of the school is not a facility but is woven into the curriculum of the school and is our pride.
Her Highness Rajmata Krishna Kumari Sahiba held the vision that “a family that dines together stays together”. Keeping with the vision, the school offers compulsory Messing facility to all the Day Scholars and Boarders. The purpose of this is to demonstrate parity among staff and the students, thus enhancing the bonding whereby the entire RKK family eats together. This is possible on account of - An air-cooled Dining Hall called "Annapurna", where cleanliness is spread in every nook and corner and what more one can ask for than this while having meals. It provides ample space for large gatherings during Conferences & Conclaves. The dual – floor set up ensures a comfortable & spacious dining experience for all. There are two Break timings for Seniors from class VI to XII and Juniors from Class Nursery to V. Approximately 800 Students with their Class Teachers and Duty Teachers have their breakfast on two floors of Dining Hall at the same time.
During the Lunch Break for Day Scholars and Boarders more than 700 students sit and have Lunch at the same time. Five meals per day are provided to the Boarders. Everything is cooked and baked in our display Kitchen. Seasonal fruits and vegetables are served daily. RO water is used for cooking. A full-time Dietitian and Hospitality in-Charge monitors the quality of rations, fresh and dry provision and milk on a daily basis. A remark is filled up by a faculty member of Boarding and Day Boarding on rotation basis that provides feedback about each and every meal. A well-balanced nutritional menu with ample variety is framed in the beginning of every month by the catering in-charge and Blue Chip Hospitality Pvt. Ltd, a top company specialised in catering and providing five-star services with the best food safety standards. During lunch break, almost 700 students and 40 teachers.

Staff Accommodation
The Principal's residence and staff on campus are an integral part of school infrastructure. Six rooms for Wardens with attached washrooms house them so that they are available 24 x 7 for the boarders. Thirty-three rooms are there on campus that houses the academic staff who contributes towards hostel duties and upliftment of the academic standard of the girls.

Apart from the Ex-Administrator’s and Principal’s Official Car, two eight seater MPVs are available on campus with full time drivers for all kinds of school work.
Founder’s Day Celebrations
The Founder’s Days are special days in RKK’s Calendar, eagerly awaited by Students and Teachers alike. Every year, school hosts grand, exciting Founder’s Day for Juniors & Seniors, when the entire school comes together to celebrate the hard work and achievements of the Students and Staff. These days are filled with fun, laughter and lot of performances, showcasing talents and celebrating achievements. Students are provided with an opportunity to step out of their usual academic routine and participate in singing, dancing, enactment on a relevant theme and showcase a vibrant display of creativity and talent. For parents, it’s a proud moment to see their children on stage, receiving awards or performing in front of a large audience. For teachers, it’s a rewarding experience to see their students shine. These two days bring together the entire school community and inspires students to strive for excellence.
