PURULIA CHHAU


Spic Macay  has always been a powerful medium of expression of  our ancient traditions and dance forms  throughout the world. Blessed were the portals of RKK on 6th Oct 2015 to have 17 renowned artists  of world fame to perform the West Bengali Folk Dance Purulia Chhau, a genre of Indian tribal martial dance which is popular in the Indian states of Odisha, Jharkhand and West Bengal.

Artist Tarapada Rajak and his accompanists Prasanta Mahato,  Sadhu Mahato , Budhu Mudi , Kirtan Bagdi,  Sukumar Sahis , Amit Bauri , Sitaram Mudi , Kanai Sahis , Pitamber Mahato , Deepak Karmakar , Bibhuti Mahato , Parsuram Mahato , Kartik Sahis,  Parikshit Mahato and Bishnupuda Sahis  enlightened the boarders & faculty. The session promised to be an evening  to remember.
