Farhat Khan, Siddhi Israni, Tamanna Bhawnani, Jigyasa Bhawnani, Dhruvi Shah, Bhavika Ramnani, Anaya Jain, Saanvi Gehlot, Ziana Sharma, Aarini Mehta, Tanishka Bhansali, Divyanshi Jhala, Mehar Gulati, Pragati Kabra, Veronica Singh Bhati, Krishna Bishnoi, Arneeka Jain, Dhrivika Prajapat, Aradhya Soni, Aayushi Jain, Advika Kansara, Nitya Baheti, Trisha Gopa, Pallakshi Mertia, Hemlata Kanwar and Rakshita of Grades 6 and 7 participated with their teacher escorts Mrs. Sapna Gupta and Ms. Aashna Jain. This Educational Excursion was an enriching AFS Exposure Activity at the beautiful boutique farm stay, House of Lalpur. The journey began with great excitement as the group traveled through Delhi and Chandigarh, finally reaching their serene destination.
During their stay, students immersed themselves in a range of engaging and educational activities. They gained firsthand experience in farming practices, exploring floriculture, horticulture, and potato sowing. This fostered an appreciation for nature, its therapeutic effects, and the importance of sustainable living.
The itinerary also included thrilling adventures such as Trekking, Kayaking, Motorboat Rides and Swimming, which revived their spirit of adventure. Fun-filled team activities like Scavenger Hunts and Human Bingo nurtured the spirit of teamwork and camaraderie among participants. Creative sessions like Painting Superheroes encouraged self-expression and artistic flair. A special day in Chandigarh was spent shopping at Elante Mall, where students learned essential life skills of managing and handling money while exploring various stores.
The visit was enriched by insightful talks by Mr. Jasmer Singh, who shared the rich heritage of the Katoch family, and Dr. Sumer Singh, who introduced students to the nuances of farming and agriculture. Discussions on Sustainable Development Goals further instilled awareness of global challenges and sustainable solutions. Throughout the trip, students experienced the therapeutic calm of slow living, the importance of teamwork, and the joy of shared learning. The meals provided were nutritious and homely, adding to the overall comfort of the stay. This visit was truly a blend of adventure, learning, and bonding, leaving every participant with cherished memories and valuable life skills.
