‘Any thinking mind can debate.’
The English Department of RKKGPS hosted an Inter-House English Debate Competition on 13th April, 2024 for classes XI and XII. Each House was represented by three students. Each team had two speakers, one for the motion and another against the motion. The third student played the vital role of an interjector by asking pertinent questions. Students presented their witty, intelligent arguments on the topic, ‘THBT AI is the best substitute for Human Intelligence.’
The judges of the competition Dr. Praveena Mittal, head of the medical business at ‘SoulUp’, a mental health platform for the teenagers, Dr. Rakhi Vyas, English Professor at JNVU and Mrs. Niyati Lodha, a counselling psychologist, admired the students and expressed their viewpoint on the topic.
The participants showed their rhetoric skills and tried to persuade the audience through their arguments. The event showcased the prowess and eloquence of the students helping them to hone their oratory skills, critical thinking abilities and confidence in public speaking.

Best Interjector : Ananya Vikarm Singh
The House that bagged the trophy was Sri Shakti House.
