PROVIDENCE DAY SCHOOL IN USA (RS ZOOM POSTCARD)


Providence School, USA The 60 minute online postcard event on Zoom Call brought together students from various corners of the globe to celebrate the universal bond between food and affection. Representing RKK, a team comprising 7 students, Adwitiya Saxena as team leader, Samridhi Charan, Arohi Bhattacharjee, Bani, Tapur Mishra, Manvi Champawat, and Vaniya Solanki actively participated in the enriching exchange. The event commenced on 14th February 2024 at 10:30 pm, as participants were allocated breakout rooms, each hosted by a student ambassador from Providence School. Engaging ice-breaking sessions like "2 Truths and a Lie" set the tone for insightful discussions. Thought-provoking questions posed by the hosts sparked dialogue on diverse culinary experiences, including preferences for home-cooked versus school meals, the variety of foods offered at schools and desired additions to school menus. The RKK contingent shared unique insights into their school's dining culture, emphasizing communal dining practices and the inclusive approach to catering for students with dietary restrictions. They underscored the familial ambiance of mealtime, where prayers precede shared meals and special dietary needs are attentively addressed. The exchange of traditions, practices, and preferences among participating schools fostered crosscultural understanding and appreciation. The active engagement and articulate expressions of RKK students underscored their enthusiasm for global dialogue and cultural exchange.
