BIRLA PUBLIC SCHOOL, PILANI (VNBPSMUN2023)

A team of 22 students with their two teacher escorts participated in the VNBPSMUN 2023 held from 10th to 13th July 2023 at Birla Public  School, Pilani (Vidya Niketan) with its theme ‘Hacia la Mejora’ — towards improvement.  The preparatory day began with the registrations, followed by the Opening Ceremony, which allowed us to meet retired Major General SS Nair, the esteemed Chief Guest.

An ice-breaking session was conducted after the ceremony. Day 1 began with a spirited feeling. After the completion of all the committee sessions of Day 1, an outing to BITs Museum was hosted, and it was concluded with dinner in the mess. Day 2 commenced with the traditional aura and was followed by a lot of open-house debates. The day concluded with a wonderful DJ night followed by dinner hosted by the Chief Executive . The final day bloomed with a determined motive of creating a draft resolution or a directive and passing the committee. The committee sessions ended with a refreshing motion of entertainment. The Closing Ceremony followed at 11:30 and the Director of Birla Education Trust graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

It was a proud moment for RKK’s team for winning the following awards :

Prachi Jain - 'Special Mention with Cash Prize of Rs. 500' in UNCSW.

Piya Salecha & Pari Salecha winning the laurels of 'Best Delegate with Cash Prize of Rs. 2500' 

Anadya Jain winning the laurels of 'High Commendation with Cash Prize of Rs. 1500' in WHO.

Laxmi Bishnoi winning the laurels of 'High Commendation with Cash Prize of Rs. 1500' in UNGA.

Janya Rathi winning the laurels of 'High Commendation with Cash Prize of Rs. 1500' in UNSC.

From the committee WHO, Piya Salecha, representing the Delegate of Brazil, won the Best Delegate and Anadya Jain, representing the Delegate of Spain, won the High Commendation.

From the committee UNCSW, Pari Salecha, representing the Delegate of Sweden, won the Best Delegate and Prachi Jain, representing the Delegate of Netherlands, won Special Mention and from the committee UNSC Jaanya Rathi, Delegate of Russia won the HIGH Commendation. From the committee UNGA Laxmi Bishnoi, Delegate of Singapore won the High Commendation. Akshi Singhvi and Adwitya Saxena received verbal mentions.

The participants include Jaanya Rathi, Sanvi Soni, Nikita Bhati and Adwitya Saxena from the committee UNSC; Laxmi Bishnoi, Akshita Bishnoi and Jitika Singh from the committee UNGA; Akshi Singhvi, Advika Bhansali, Hasmita Jain and Natasha Misra from the committee UNHRC; Pari Salecha, Prachi Jain, Bhavya Baid and Jinal Manihar from the committee UNCSW; Paridhi, Dhruvi Garg, Dhruvi Gupta and Bhavya Singh Rawat from the committee G20; and last but not the least from the committee WHO the delegates were Piya Salecha, Anadya Jain and I, Aarohi Bhattacherjee.

This was a great enriching and enlightening program and a learning platform for the students.
