The youth born in the digital age, strive towards excelling in many aspects of life. With the availability of a number of media platforms, their functions are being amplified hence, making way for progress and increasing their relevance in the society.
The Online Conference, Yugen 2.0 hosted by Pathways World School Aravali was enriching and insightful in which 6 students -
Deeksha Garg, Suhani Baheti, Pranjal Soni, Kirti Kanwar Bhati, Sumriddhi Sharma and Zaina learnt about every kind of communication that requires curiosity, education, critical thinking and smart consumption of media which constitutes media literacy.
All the students participated with zeal and curiosity and ventured into various aspects of media. The Keynote Speakers were Mr. Carlos Galvez, Mr. Adam Hill, Mr. Misbah Gedal, Mr. R. Prasannan, Mr.Abrar Athar, Ms. Jaskiran Bedi, Ms. Anoushka Ghonkrokta, Mr. Aditya Raghav who in their speeches highlighted to be aware of the media which is consumed and produced, understand that sometimes the task of a channel is to sway, recognize the difference between facts and opinions and create media responsibly. After keynote speeches, students had Barraza Sessions which were filled with debates and never ending discussions. Barraza leaders provided constant support and motivated everyone to indulge in voicing their thoughts.
This conference played a big part enabling the participants not to buy outrageous claims and fake news and accept other people's points of view as well and construct fair judgement and opinion.
