THE IPSC SQUASH CHAMPIONSHIP FOR GIRLS UNDER 12, 14, 17 AND 19 CATEGORIES


Rajmata Krishna Kumari Girls’ Public School felt elated and honoured to host The IPSC Squash Championship for Girls Under 12, 14, 17 and 19 Categories from 12th to 14th September 2019. The school was geared up third time to conduct this spectacular three-day event proficiently and enthusiastically.  

This Championship was an opportunity for 71 young players to participate and strengthen in them the values of leadership and comradeship. The champions represented following 8 elite IPSC Schools of the country:

1. L K Singhania Education Centre, Gotan
2. Mayo College Girls' School, Ajmer
3. Modern School, Barakhambha Road, New Delhi
4. The Daly College, Indore
5. The Lawrence School, Lovedale, Ooty
6. The Emerald Heights International School, Indore
7. Yadavindra Public School, Patiala
8. Rajmata Krishna Kumari Girls’ Public School, Jodhpur

At the core of it, this IPSC Squash Championship 2019 aimed to bring all the participants together and provide them a platform to compete at their best.

The Opening Ceremony was graced by Chief Guest, Brigadier Manish Luthra, Station Commander, Military Station Jodhpur. Accompanied by the School Principal, Mrs. Neera Singh and escorted by two pilots, he received the Guard of Honour on the Bugle Fanfare and Slow March of the Rajasthan Troupe played by the talented players of RKK’s Bagpiper Band. He unfurled the IPSC Flag soaring high, which binds all IPSC members in unison and epitomizes the strength & quest of perfection. School Anthem was rendered with great fervor and ardor. Grand welcome of the guests by Rajasthani Folk Dance in RKK style mesmerized the audience. The day looked promising with the Oath March by the Captains of the participating schools. Principal, Mrs Neera Singh’s Speech welcoming the guests, Swearing of the Oath and Declaration of the Meet Open geared the players to give their best in the matches. The whole environment echoed with positive vibes with the invigorating speech of the Chief Guest.

The three days witnessed not only a battle between the racket and the ball but also a wave of emotions. The Championship saw the participants oozing with enthusiasm and spirit to excel.  

There was a perfect display of constant running and following the ball, the singles and the doubles, the server and the receiver, short bursts of the speed,  hard hitting, fine balance of hand and eye coordination etc. However, the Championship inculcated the values of togetherness, bonhomie and team spirit among the students and made them realize that a coordinated effort can bring incredible results, be it play field or daily life.  

On 14th September 2019, after a stupendous success, The IPSC Squash Championship for Girls culminated with the Closing Ceremony presided by the Chief Guest, Retd. Col. Himmat Singh Bhati, an Ex. Serviceman, a role model for many aspiring defence personnel. Yuvrani Gayatri Rajye Sahiba’s benign presence added distinction to this wonderful gathering. Her positive vibes acted as an inspiration for all. Tournament Report by the Sports Vice Captain took the audience through the jubilant journey with her. Result Declaration, Prize Distribution, Flag Lowering Ceremony, Vote of Thanks and Grand Finale, created an album of reminiscence in the life’s kitty of all present to witness this bid adieu ceremony.

RKK’s IPSC Sports Coordinator & Team Manager, Dr Manjeet Singh Rathore and Team Coach, Mr Vijay Singh Parihar meticulously handled all the matches during these three days. Mr Vijay Jangra from Mayo College, Ajmer officiated as the IPSC Observer and Mr Devendra Amrawat was the Observer from RKK. Referees of the event - Mr Bhupendra Singh, Mr Jitendra Dutta and Mr Jasmer Singh with their surgical precision determined who outplayed the other.

This Championship of Squash championed the hearts, collecting a plethora of memories for life’s album, creating this epoch making event nothing less than a celebration.
