Computer skills in the work place are one of the most essential tools and methods for skillfully handling any profession in today’s time. IT skills greatly improve one’s professional skills and give exponential professional growth. In order to enhance technical skills of all staff members, IT workshops are conducted in school on regular basis. One of the workshops was conducted by the Dean IT of school, Mr Jasvinder Pal Singh, assisted by Ms Nupur Goyal & Mrs Mani Deora, Faculties of Computer Department, on
30th April and 7th May 2022 for the entire staff in two batches.
On 30th April the capsule focused on hardware, software, application of computers in our daily life, internet and its usage in daily life, troubleshooting etc.
The main focus of the workshop on
7th May 2022 was on MS Word, MS Excel and MS Power Pont Presentation. A 3 hour long workshop gave all teachers hands on experience on the usage of these Microsoft tools. Each teacher practiced on her Personal Computer or Laptop.
This extensive and ongoing exposure to IT will definitely enable teachers to evaluate and select the most appropriate resources and develop appropriate pedagogical practices.
