On 28th January 2025, Rajmata Krishna Kumari Girls’ Public School Jodhpur, had the distinct honour of hosting a delegation of 6 esteemed Educators and 4 Principals of pre-schools from the Kingdom of Bhutan.This delegation comprised the faculty members of the Armed Forces School Project (AFSP) under HOPE, HME, spearheaded by His Majesty’s Secretariat with Mr Pema Rinzing Rinchen, Deputy Chamberlain to His Majesty the King of Bhutan as the leader of the project and delegation. This day long visit of Bhutanese delegation was full of enriching learning and sharing including interactions on the academic and cultural framework, innovative teaching-learning practices, curriculum implementation, school approaches, and best practices. There were visits of Pre-Primary & Primary sections that highlighted collaborative discussions on innovative education practices, deepening the professional ties between the institutions.
This marked a significant milestone in fostering academic exchange, cultural dialogue, and mutual understanding between the two nations, reflecting the enduring spirit of India–Bhutan relations.
A short program of cultural performances formed a central component of the visit, beginning with ‘School Anthem’ followed by an Indian classical music presentation by students, symbolising harmony and friendship. This was followed by a Pushpanjali in Bharatanatyam. As a sacred offering seeking divine blessings, the Pushpanjali reflected the shared reverence for devotion and mindfulness present in both Indian and Bhutanese traditions. The guests were then presented with a short institutional film that traced the journey of Rajmata Krishna Kumari Girls’ Public School over the past 33 years. A regional cultural presentation, Padharo Mhaare Desh, followed, extending a heartfelt Rajasthani welcome and celebrating the vibrancy of local heritage.
As a mark of respect and appreciation, mementos were presented to the Bhutanese delegates, acknowledging their graceful presence and the meaningful exchange of ideas fostered during the visit. The programme further embraced reciprocity through a cultural performance by the Bhutanese guests, offering a glimpse into their rich artistic heritage and reinforcing the spirit of mutual respect and cultural exchange. The programme formally concluded with expressions of gratitude to the honoured guests followed by the National Anthems of Bhutan and India, reaffirming unity, mutual respect and the shared aspiration for continued cooperation. A short visit to Mehrangrah Fort, Umaid Bhawan Palace, Jaswant Thara & Local Markets of Jodhpur added more flavour to this visit.
The visit & hospitality of RKK left a lasting impression on the delegates and laid a strong foundation for sustained academic and cultural collaboration between Rajmata Krishna Kumari Girls’ Public School and educational institutions in Bhutan.
