VISIT TO OLD AGE HOME

On 28th September 2025, 32 students of RKKGPS, accompanied by two teachers Mrs. Megha Rana Goel and Ms Gunjan Panwar, visited Anubandh Old Age Home. The group left the school premises at 8:30 a.m. and reached the venue within half an hour.

On arrival, Ms. Anuradha warmly welcomed the students and gave simple instructions to spend meaningful and cheerful time with the elderly residents. The day began with a lively Garba session. The students performed enthusiastically, and the residents too joined them with great joy, creating a festive and heartwarming atmosphere.  Following this, an Antakshari competition was organized. The students divided the residents into four teams, and the event turned out to be a delightful experience as everyone sang melodious songs with enthusiasm. Later, the students’ secretary conducted a Chit Game with the help of her peers. In this activity, participants had to sing a song based on the word written on a chit. The residents participated wholeheartedly and showcased their talents.

A touching moment came when the residents sang a birthday song for one of the students. To make the occasion more special, Ms. Anuradha provided sweets which the student distributed among the elderly, receiving their blessings in return. Towards the end of the visit, the students presented an energetic dance performance. The residents enjoyed it immensely and even joined the students on stage, making it a memorable conclusion to the day.

The interaction created an atmosphere of warmth, laughter, and togetherness. Both students and the residents shared moments of joy, and the visit helped bridge the gap between generations. The students returned to school in high spirits, carrying with them valuable memories and lessons of compassion and respect for the elderly.
