Lighting the Torch of Service – Rotary Interact Installation
“Only a life lived in the service of others is worth living”
-Albert Einstein
Some days pass like any other. But some days, they carve themselves into memory. The Installation Ceremony of the Rotary Interact Club of RKK was one such day — a day when oaths became promises, pins became symbols, and students became leaders.
The grand portals of RKK welcomed stalwarts of the Rotary Club of Jodhpur Padmini: Rtn. Vinod Bhatia, a true crusader of service; Rtn. Vaishali Saand, an inspiring guide to Interactors; Dr. Pamila Vidhi Shah, a scholar who wears service as her second skin; Mrs. Rajni Kothari, a woman of dedication; and Mrs. Rajshree Chowdhary, whose passion for rural development speaks louder than words. Their presence wasn’t ornamental — it was symbolic, like torches lighting the path for the young interactors who would take the baton next.
The ceremony burst to life with the soulful beats of “Padharo Mahre Desh”. Every note, every step on stage seemed to whisper: this is where tradition meets purpose.
The most awaited moment of the afternoon was the installation of the new Interact team. As the young interactors stepped forward to take their oath, the hall fell into a solemn silence. Each word of the pledge carried the weight of responsibility — to serve with compassion, to lead with integrity, and to uphold the ideals of Rotary.
• President – Saanvi Jain entrusted with steering the club with vision and dedication.
• Secretary – Saanvi Agrawal, the voice of discipline, clarity, and coordination.
• Treasurer – Mysha Khetan, the custodian of trust and responsibility.
This year’s leaders were proudly announced:
The pinning ceremony was more than a ritual; it was a symbolic moment of honour and commitment. The glittering pins, placed with pride, became emblems of service and leadership. It was not just the recognition of positions, but the beginning of a journey — a journey of action, inspiration, and impact.
Adding colour to the ceremony was the graceful Arangetram , which left the audience enthralled.
As the ceremony drew to a close with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks, one message was clear:
Badges may shine, but brighter still,
Are hearts that serve with steadfast will.
Young hands now hold tomorrow’s flame,
To change the world — in Rotary’s name.
