SERVICE ENDEAVOUR - "UDAAN"


On October 10, Rajmata Krishna Kumari Girls’ Public School, Jodhpur celebrated World Mental Health Day by partnering with two institutions of special needs: Manovikas Navjyoti Kendra and Saarthy Foundation. 


A group of 70 enthusiastic children from Interact Club of Rajmata Krishna Kumari Girls’ Public School under the  aegis of Rotary Club Padmini set out for a heartwarming outing to meet and interact with some wonderful mentally adept children . The event aimed to foster inclusivity and raise awareness about mental health through engaging activities.
The day began with a departure from school at 9 a.m, setting the stage for a meaningful experience.
The ?rst stop was Navjyoti Vikas Kendra, where from 9:30 to 11 a.m, our Interactive Club engaged with the students through a vibrant dance performance that set a joyous tone. This was followed by an uplifting Choir presentation, showcasing the talent of both our students and those at the Kendra. The event culminated in a lively group Garba, where participants from both schools danced together, fostering a sense of community and inclusion. Additionally, our students donated food packets and toys to the Kendra, further enhancing the spirit of giving and supporting. 
At 11 a.m, the team departed for the Saarthi Foundation. Here, the Interactive Club once again took center stage with a captivating dance performance, followed by another inspiring Choir session. The highlight was another enthusiastic group Garba, allowing everyone to join in and celebrate together. Our students also donated food packets and toys at Saarthy Foundation , reinforcing the message of compassion and care.
By 1:30 p.m everyone returned to the campus , ?lled with new experiences and insights.
Throughout the day, students learned invaluable lessons about empathy, collaboration and the importance of mental well-being. Engaging with their peers from special needs schools allowed them to appreciate different perspectives and abilities. The interactions highlighted the signi?cance of inclusion, teaching students to celebrate diversity and support one another.
Overall, the celebration not only raised awareness for mental health but also strengthened the bonds between our school and the special needs community, fostering a spirit of togetherness and understanding.
