To accomplish the aim and ethos of the 4th section of the Award programs for the students an Adventure Journey was planned with various adventure activities at Kumbhalgarh Safari Camp for IAYP Award aspirants.
The trip started at 6.30 am on the 9th Aug Friday and reached by 12.00 noon. Introduction and brief session was conducted by the trainers and instructors. Post lunch the students left for a visit to the well-known Kumbhalgarh Fort and Adventure activities. The students experienced and enriching historical stories attached with the Royalty of Kumbhalgarh as explained by the guide. The fort is known for its massive walls which is second longest continuous wall in the world after the Wall of China. Thereafter the students were engaged with various kinds of adventure activities like Zipline, Burma bridge, Rock climbing etc. They experienced the importance of life skills like team building, leadership, decision making, facing challenges and feeling the sense of satisfaction and achievement.
Next day students went for early morning trekking for around 10 kms distance and experience the wild life sanctuary, offering a mix historical and natural beauty. The adventure trip gave the students an opportunity to engage in and acquire new skills first hand like how to build a tent during camping, liberty to design their own program and to set their own goals. The trip was full of adventure and learning of the rich culture of Rajasthan and the children came back with unforgettable good memories.
