BIRLA VIDYA MANDIR, NAINITAL (IPSC MODEL UNITED NATIONS CONFERENCE (IPSCMUN 2026)

An eight-member student delegation - Anoushka Ghosh, Priyali Gandhi, Bhuvi Mathur, Unnati Shekhawat, Bhavi Mehta, Mysha Khetan, Siyona Mehta and Himshikha Purohit from Rajmata Krishna Kumari Girls’ Public School, Jodhpur, under the guidance of teacher mentor Mrs Priti Goyal, represented the institution at the Indian Public Schools’ Conference (IPSC) Model United Nations 2026, hosted by Birla Vidya Mandir in Nainital from 7th to 9th September 2026. The trip seamlessly blended rigorous diplomatic debate with rich cultural exposure.

The conference commenced on the first day with an inspiring Opening Ceremony, where the Secretariat welcomed participating schools and set a high standard for academic discourse. Following the inauguration, the delegates stepped directly into their initial committee session to deliver their foreign policy statements on the General Speakers’ List. As motions were raised, RKKians quickly adapted to the parliamentary flow, setting a strong foundation for their respective council agendas.

The second day served as the academic crucible of the event, pushing the delegates through four back-to-back committee sessions. The morning sessions required sharp analytical thinking during structured moderated caucuses on complex sub-topics. As the day progressed into unmoderated caucuses, the delegates took active leadership roles—navigating high-stakes negotiations, bridging differences across regional blocs, and drafting comprehensive working papers. By the final evening session, committee rooms were filled with spirited debates over proposed amendments, culminating in formal voting procedures to pass final resolutions.

The third and final day brought well-earned recognition during the Valedictory Ceremony. Four of the eight delegates bagged top honors: Priyali Gandhi was awarded Best Position Paper, Unnati Shekhawat earned a Special Mention, while Shiyona Mehta and Bhavi Mehta both received Verbal Mentions. Concluding the trip on a reflective note, the delegation spent the remaining hours taking in the scenic beauty of Nainital and visiting the sacred Naina Devi Temple on the shores of Naini Lake to offer prayers and seek blessings for their future academic pursuits. The journey concluded as a memorable success, bringing immense pride to the entire school community.
