Students Workshops

ROAD TO MUN

A workshop on Model United Nations (MUN) was conducted by former students Ms. Piya Salecha and Ms. Pari Salecha of the class of 2026 under the banner of ‘The Forum’ to introduce students to the functioning of the United Nations and the art of diplomacy. The facilitators explained the SPEAR framework—Solutions, Policy, Environment, Actions, and Resolutions—and introduced the CAA approach to MUN research, emphasizing a thorough understanding of one’s Country, Committee, and Agenda.

Participants were guided in researching country positions, drafting resolutions, and engaging in constructive debate. An interactive clue crossword activity, enthusiastically attended by both students and teachers, reinforced the concepts discussed and promoted teamwork and critical thinking. The workshop emphasized evidence-based policymaking, respectful dialogue, and effective communication, thereby enhancing the participants’ understanding of international relations while fostering leadership, cooperation, and diplomacy. The programme concluded with an engaging question-and-answer session and a vote of thanks. The enduring message of the workshop was that, while framing and presenting arguments, one should be assertive in expressing one’s views while always remaining respectful and avoiding aggression.
