Cocurricular - Round Square

STEINMÜHLE, GERMANY (RS ZOOM POSTCARD)


As a part of the Round Square Environmentalism Pillar, RKK’s students - Yana, Vedanshi, Sanskriti, Aarna, Saniksha, Kanishka and Divisha of Rajmata Krishna Kumari Girls' Public School, Jodhpur participated in an international Zoom Postcard Project on 3rd June 2026, hosted by Steinmühle School, Germany. The theme, "Best Practice for Our Environment," encouraged students from different countries to share environmental initiatives undertaken by their schools and nations. Participating Countries were Australia, Germany, India, Kenya and Rwanda.

Prior to the session, participants were required to design and upload a digital postcard highlighting sustainable practices, environmental awareness campaigns and actions that contribute towards protecting our planet. RKK’s postcard was titled, "One Earth, One Chance" that focused on the collective responsibility of safeguarding the environment through sustainable practices at individual, school and national levels.

The Postcard Highlighted:

·         India's Environmental Efforts
·         Promotion of solar energy
·         Tree plantation campaigns
·         Reduction of single-use plastic
·         Metro systems to reduce pollution
·         Water conservation initiatives
·         Swachh Bharat Abhiyan

What RKKians do

·         Save electricity
·         Use bicycles or walk whenever possible
·         Plant more trees
·         Avoid plastic bottles
·         Recycle and reuse materials
·         Conserve water daily
·         Our School's Green Practices
·         Use of smart boards to reduce paper consumption
·         Energy conservation through responsible use of lights and fans
·         Plantation drives and gardening activities
·         Recycling of paper and plastic waste
·         Awareness campaigns on sustainability

The Postcard Call also showcased the Environmental Marathon organized by the Interact Club of Rajmata Krishna Kumari Girls' Public School on 3 October 2024 under the guidance of the Rotary Club of Padmini, Jodhpur. Through this call, students gained an opportunity to interact with peers from different countries and learn about diverse environmental practices around the world.
