ASHBURY COLLEGE, CANADA (RS ZOOM POSTCARD)


On 22nd of April, a delegation of seven students - Tanishka Jain (Student Leader), Sanvi Jain, Sanvi Agarwal, Anaisha Rathi, Hitanshi Jain, Srishti Joshi and Navya Gandhi participated in a high-impact global dialogue hosted by Ashbury College, Canada. The session, centered on the theme "Global Path to Reconciliation," served as a vibrant crossroads for international perspectives, bringing together youth leaders from Canada, Germany, India, South Africa, and beyond.

An Atmosphere of Connection


From the opening remarks, the session transcended the typical formality of international summits. It was characterized by a remarkably friendly and inclusive environment that transformed a complex socio-political topic into a lively, high-energy exchange. The hosting by Ashbury College was nothing short of spectacular, creating a seamless digital bridge between cultures that felt both professional and deeply personal.

Deep Dives and Dynamic Dialogue

The core of the event was built upon interactive inquiry. The delegation engaged in rigorous yet enthusiastic questioning, exploring the fundamental architecture of reconciliation. Key points of discussion included:

* Defining Reconciliation: Students moved beyond textbook definitions to explore what healing and harmony look like in a modern global context.

* National Measures: Representing the Indian perspective, our team provided insightful commentary on the measures being taken within our borders.

* Addressing Internal Challenges: The conversation was marked by brave and honest discourse regarding casteism and social equity, comparing these domestic challenges with the historical and contemporary struggles of nations like South Africa and Canada.
