SUNBEAM SCHOOL & HOSTEL, VARUNA, VARANASI (INTER CULTURAL EXCHANGE PROGRAM – 2026 : SENDING)


A Tale of Two Cities: Where Culture Meets Spirituality - If Jodhpur, the heart of Marwar, reflects the rich cultural heritage of Rajasthan, Kashi stands as a timeless symbol of spirituality and devotion.

To provide students with this unique experience, a group of 10 students - Kritika Deora, Navya Deora, Anushka Jani, Vanshika Kanwar, Diya Soni, Lakshita Choudhary, Yashvi Vyas, Vindhyeshwari Bika, Vidisha Agarwal, Pulak Jain from Rajmata Krishnakumari Girls’ Public School, accompanied by escort teacher, Mrs Sarita Ratnoo, visited Sunbeam School & Hostel Varuna, Varanasi from 5th to 14th April 2026.  

The visit began with a warm welcome at the host school, followed by their campus tour. The students explored prominent temples such as Durga Kund, Tulsi Manas Mandir, Sankat Mochan mandir and the mystic sant Kabir Sahab’s Math and witnessed the Ganga Aarti at Assi Ghat—an unforgettable spiritual experience.

The following day witnessed workshops on Clay Modelling and Bharatanatyam enriching the students’ skills. Participation in the school assembly was a proud moment, showcasing the students’ confidence and talent.

Excursions to Sarnath and Sarvved Dham provided opportunities for reflection and meditation. Visits to Sunbeam campuses and the Banaras Bead Factory offered insights into education and local craftsmanship.

A highlight of the trip was the early morning Boat ride from Assi Ghat to Namo Ghat, where the students witnessed a serene sunrise over the Ganga. The group also explored Banaras Hindu University, the New Kashi Vishwanath Temple, and Bharat Kala Bhawan, deepening their understanding of the city’s heritage.

The darshan at Kashi Vishwanath Temple was the spiritual culmination of the visit, leaving a lasting impression on all. The trip concluded with cultural exchanges, sweet memories, new friendships and a deeper understanding of a different culture.
