A group of seven enthusiastic students - Siddhi Bhati, Chandni Bhati, Rathore Akansha Madan Singh, Samiksha Rathore, Bhagvat, Lily Choudhary and Khushi Singh Rathore from RKKGPS, accompanied by the teacher-in-charge, Mrs. Shikha Tomar, Lahartara had a wonderful opportunity to visit Sunbeam School, Varanasi, for an enriching eight-day exchange programme. The visit proved to be a memorable blend of learning, culture, and friendship.
During their stay, the team explored the spiritual and historical essence of Varanasi through visits to the sacred Kashi Vishwanath Temple, the historic town of Sarnath, and the serene Assi Ghat and Namo Ghat. One of the most captivating experiences was witnessing the divine Ganga Aarti, which filled the atmosphere with devotion and spiritual fervour.
The trip also included engaging sessions of soulful folk music and rhythmic tabla at Taal Tarang, refreshing yoga sessions, and exciting campus activities that made the experience even more meaningful. A truly special moment of the visit was attending a musical performance at the revered Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple, where the participants had the honour of witnessing live performances by the legendary Vishwa Mohan Bhatt and the renowned drummer Shivamani. Meeting these celebrated artists in person and experiencing their electrifying performances was an unforgettable highlight of the trip.
Exploring the vibrant local markets added a delightful cultural touch to our visit. Sunbeam School extended exceptional warmth and gracious hospitality, making them feel truly welcomed and at home.
The exchange programme broadened their horizons, strengthened new friendships, and deepened their appreciation for the rich heritage and vibrant culture of Varanasi. The team returned with cherished memories, valuable experiences and a heart full of gratitude.
