ST. GEORGE’S DIOCESAN SCHOOL, NAMBIA (RS ZOOM POSTCARDS)

On 18th March 2026, Wednesday, Team RKK, comprising the Student in Charge, Saanvi Agarwal, and the participants Aagya Jain, Divya Chhatwani, Jaskeerat Kaur, Siyona Mehta, Unnati Singh, and Vaanya Mehta, under the guidance and mentorship of Ma’am Sapna Gupta, participated in the RS Postcard Call. The topic assigned was both relevant and thought-provoking— “How technology and the internet are affecting society.”

The first meeting was conducted on 28th February, where the student in charge introduced all the participants to the RS Postcard Call and addressed their queries. They discussed and deliberated on the given topic and were assigned the task of researching and preparing a document to express their views. Thereafter, all the team members carried out their research and shared their perspectives.

The next meeting was held on 14th March, wherein responsibilities were assigned. Siyona Mehta and Vaanya Mehta were entrusted with preparing the postcards, while Unnati Singh and Divya Chatwani were assigned the task of drafting the report.

On 16th March, the third meeting was conducted, during which further improvements and refinements were discussed for the Postcard. The final preparatory meeting took place on 17th March, where the rules and regulations for the main session were explained, and all queries were resolved. Each participant also recited their articulation, presenting their postcards with clarity and confidence.

On the day of the event, students were well-prepared to present their work. As the session commenced, they were introduced to the host and given an overview of the day’s proceedings. They were then divided into breakout rooms, which provided an opportunity for interactive discussions and the exchange of ideas with students from different schools. The session also included engaging ice-breaking activities such as Kahoot, which made the environment lively and comfortable.

The discussion centred on “How technology is affecting today’s society”. Diverse viewpoints were shared and valuable insights were gained from others. The conversation highlighted both the positive aspects, such as improved communication and access to knowledge, as well as the challenges, including over-dependence and reduced real-life interactions.
