The Doon School hosted the third edition of the Technology Conclave (DSTC) V3.0 in collaboration with the Boarding Schools’ Association of India (BSAI). This exciting platform brought together young technology enthusiasts from 13 leading boarding schools across India from 2nd to 3rd December 2025. 75 participants and their mentors were hosted at Chandbagh for two days to celebrate innovation in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, guided by the theme “Create, Innovate, Automate.” Dr. Jagpreet Singh, Headmaster of The Doon School, Dehradun, formally inaugurated the Conclave, setting an inspiring tone for the event, and later delivered the closing address, reflecting on the achievements and future possibilities sparked during the conclave.
Over the two days, students engaged in hands-on workshops and interactive sessions led by the Department of Computer Science, Robotics & AI, The Doon School, that bridged the gap between imagination and application. From exploring the fundamentals of Robotics to experimenting with AI-driven solutions, participants learned to design, build, and automate functional systems using microcontrollers, sensors and intelligent algorithms. The conclave culminated in a high-stakes challenge where teams integrated their skills in coding, electronics, and system design to develop working prototypes. The event was judged by Dr. Ankur Dumka (Associate Professor and Dean of Academic & Research at WIT Dehradun, who has authored 150+ research papers, holds 16 patents, and is the coordinator for Smart City Dehradun’s proposal drafting) and Dr. Anshu Dhar Jayal (Master’s in Mathematics from The Doon School, former faculty at IIT Ropar, who earned a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Army Institute of Technology, Pune, followed by master’s and doctoral degrees from the University of Utah, USA). Both judges commended the creativity and technical excellence displayed by the students.
The Conclave concluded on 3rd December 2025 with the presentation of the following awards, recognizing the exceptional bot design, technical, and programming expertise, along with the collaborative spirit demonstrated by participating teams from India's leading boarding schools.
