Small steps lead to big changes and every new experience brings new learning. With this mindset, a group of six enthusiastic student from RKK —  Mehal Sharda, Yana Agarwal, Nivisha Kumbhat, Avika Sharma, Vedanshi Bhandari, Yana Agarwal with their Students Leader - Tamanna Bhawnani  participated in a Round Square Zoom Postcard Call.

The event, hosted by Fern Hill School, Canada, took place on 09th October 2024 and focused on the theme “Internationalism and the six Round Square Ideals". For many of the group members, it was their first experience in such a setting, yet their performance were remarkable.

Throughout the session, the team actively engaged with students from different parts of the world, sharing insights on how the Olympic Games connect with the ideals of Internationalism, Leadership, Service and Adventure. RKK’s presentation highlighted some of India’s Olympic athletes, focusing on their achievements and how they inspire global unity and personal growth. Led by Tamanna Bhawnani, the group confidently delivered a well-structured presentation which received appreciation from peers and mentors alike.

In addition to gaining deeper knowledge about the Olympics and their connection to the Round Square Pillars, this postcard call also provided a platform for all five members to overcome their initial apprehensions and engage in meaningful discussions with their global counterparts.

The experience left a lasting impact on the students, helping them build communication skills, global understanding and confidence. This session was a powerful reminder that Olympic values, like those of Round Square, transcend national borders and unite people through shared ideals.
