Rajmata Krishna Kumari Girls’ Public School actively participated in the National-Level Online Slogan Writing Competition and Poster Making Competition organized by the National Museum of Natural History, in collaboration with the Ozone Cell, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC), Government of India, to commemorate the 32nd World Ozone Day on 16th September 2026.
The national-level initiative provided students with a meaningful platform to express their understanding and concern for the protection of the ozone layer, climate change, global warming and sustainable living through creative and impactful slogans and posters.
The Slogan Writing Competition focused on “Protection of the Ozone Layer and Climate-Friendly Lifestyle Practices to Combat Global Warming,” while the Poster Making Competition centered on “Protection of the Ozone Layer and Preventing Climate Change by Eliminating Ozone-Depleting Substances (ODSs) and Hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs).”
Through this initiative, students were encouraged to move beyond theoretical learning and reflect on how individual choices and responsible lifestyle practices can contribute to environmental conservation. The activity fostered awareness about the close relationship between ozone protection, climate change and sustainable human behavior, while encouraging students to become responsible environmental stewards.
A total of 11 students enthusiastically participated in the competitions: Siyona Mehta IX D, Ruchika Soni XII C, Navya Parakh VIII B, Vedanshi Bhandari VIII A, Diya Kataria XI D, Nishika Pagaria X B, Aliya Naaj X C, Lubna Naaz X C, Radhika Soni XII C, Aarya Mehta Dixit VIII A and Janvi Rathore X B.
The students prepared their original slogans and creative poster entries, which were submitted through the prescribed online portal as part of the national-level competition.
The participation served as an enriching learning experience, enabling students to translate their classroom knowledge into creative environmental communication. Their efforts reflected a growing awareness of the need to protect the ozone layer, reduce environmentally harmful practices and embrace climate-friendly choices.
Rajmata School continues to encourage its students to participate in initiatives that nurture environmental consciousness, creativity, responsibility and active citizenship, inspiring the young generation to contribute meaningfully towards a healthier and more sustainable planet.
