80th Independence Day Celebration (Azaadi Ka Parv)15th August 2026The celebration of the 80th Independence Day of our beloved country, India, commenced with the hoisting of the Tricolour, filling the campus with a deep sense of pride and patriotism. The atmosphere reverberated with the soulful strains of our National Anthem, “Jana Gana Mana,” as everyone stood together in reverence.
The celebrations continued with a vibrant cultural programme presented by the students. It began with a grand orchestral rendition of patriotic songs, which received immense appreciation from the audience. This was followed by a powerful rendition of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru’s historic “Tryst with Destiny” speech, delivered with remarkable confidence and impact by Gauree Singh of Grade XII.
The spirit of patriotism came alive through a series of energetic dance performances by students from all the dormitories of the Boarding House, followed by Samiksha Rathore of Grade X presenting the evocative Hindi poem “Swadesh.” The Inter-Dorm Quiz Competition added an engaging and spirited dimension to the celebrations, while the vibrant Gidda performance brought colour, energy and cultural exuberance to the stage.
The programme culminated with an inspiring address by Bursar Sir, Lt Col. Simarpreet Singh, who shared powerful, life-changing experiences from his years in the Army. His words left a lasting impression as he urged students to be disciplined, hardworking and fearless in pursuing their dreams. He also expressed his appreciation for the teaching community and encouraged everyone to give their best in every situation.
The celebration reached its emotional high as everyone present in the auditorium rose together to sing “Vande Mataram” in unison. The stirring rendition filled the air with joy, pride and a powerful sense of collective patriotism.
The memorable celebration concluded on a warm and festive note with a traditional Marwari breakfast at the Green Lawns, featuring piping-hot mirchi vadas, laddoos and cups of steaming tea, a fitting end to a morning filled with pride, unity and the spirit of India.
