AFS SUSTAINABLE SOUNDS: PRESERVING INDIA’S FOLK MUSIC HERITAGE

AFS Sustainable Sounds: Preserving India’s Folk Music Heritage

Rajmata Krishna Kumari Girls’ Public School, Jodhpur, proudly participated in the virtual “Sustainable Sounds: Preserving India’s Folk Music Heritage” programme organized by Cambridge International School, Kullu, in collaboration with AFS Intercultural Programs India, from 1st to 29th May 2026. The programme aimed to promote awareness and appreciation of India’s rich folk music traditions while encouraging intercultural learning and cultural preservation.

Himadri Kaushik enthusiastically represented the school and actively participated in the programme. Through engaging sessions and cultural exchanges, the event enhanced the student’s understanding of India’s diverse musical heritage and strengthened the values of global citizenship, cultural appreciation, and collaboration. The experience proved to be both enriching and inspiring.
