Rajmata Krishna Kumari Girls’ Public School, Jodhpur, proudly participated in the Round Square Zoom Postcard hosted by The Shri Ram School, Moulsari. The session revolved around the thought-provoking theme, “Behind the Seams: The True Cost of Fast Fashion,” encouraging students to critically examine the environmental, social, and ethical implications of the global fashion industry.

Representing the school were Roisin Agarwal (XI E), Akansha Udawat (XI A), Trisha Choudhary (XI A), Janvi Agarwal (XI E), Dimpy Agarwal (XI E), and Lavanya Seervi (XI A) under the guidance and supervision of Ms. Priyal Chouhan.

During the session, students explored the hidden realities of fast fashion, drawing attention to its impact on the environment, excessive resource consumption, textile waste, and labour practices. Through insightful research and thoughtful discussion, they emphasized the importance of making informed consumer choices and highlighted how sustainable fashion, mindful purchasing, and responsible production can collectively contribute to a more equitable and environmentally conscious future.

The presentation was followed by an engaging exchange of ideas with students from other Round Square schools. Participants discussed practical ways to reduce fashion waste, promote ethical consumption, and encourage sustainable lifestyles within their communities. The interaction fostered critical thinking and enabled students to appreciate diverse perspectives on one of the most pressing global challenges of our time.

More than a discussion on clothing, the session became a meaningful conversation about responsibility, conscious living, and the role of young people in driving positive change. It reinforced the values of global citizenship, environmental stewardship, and collaborative learning, which form the cornerstone of the Round Square ethos.

Overall, the Zoom Postcard was an enriching and impactful experience that inspired students to look beyond trends and recognize the broader consequences of everyday choices. The participation of RKK students reflected their awareness, confidence, and commitment to representing the school with thoughtfulness and distinction on an international platform.
