With a strong desire to learn and grow, a team of seven students from Rajmata Krishna Kumari Girls’ Public School engaged in an enriching RS Postcard session on April 2, 2025. Centered around
'The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens' by Sean Covey, the session featured participants Sonakshi Charan, Tanishka Jain, Siddhi Kothari, Nishika Kumbhat, Shaambhavi Gulecha, Vani Mutha with Student Leader - Nishika Pagaria all from IX and XI Grades.
The session commenced with a warm welcome and an overview of the seven habits, emphasizing their relevance in navigating both personal and academic challenges. Participants actively discussed various themes, including procrastination and the straightforwardness of the habits, while collaborating in barazza groups. They even proposed an eighth habit to further enrich their discussions.
A highlight of the session was the 5-word story play, which fostered teamwork and quick thinking among the students. Breakout room discussions encouraged participants to tackle thought-provoking questions, such as the potential for an eighth habit, practical applications of the existing habits, and methods for maintaining authenticity in today’s digital landscape.
The postcard effectively summarized the seven habits—being proactive, beginning with the end in mind, putting first things first, thinking win-win, seeking first to understand, synergizing, and sharpening the saw—using clear and impactful language. Overall, the session was a valuable experience, reinforcing crucial principles and encouraging critical thinking. By embracing these habits, participants are better equipped to enhance their collaboration, problem-solving skills, and overall effectiveness in both their personal lives and academic pursuits.
