The TeachCamp organised by Scoonews from 19th to 21st December 2024 in collaboration with Daly College, Indore was an enriching professional development event that provided a range of expert-led sessions aimed at enhancing teaching skills and strategies. Ms Reena Mishra, Ms Deepika Ojha and Dr Shreshtha Singhal from RKKGPS attended this intensive training, which covered several key topics. The sessions included Arijit Ghosh's discussion on designing relevant and rich projects for the Learning Resource Centre, Lina Ashor's insights on using emotional hooks in lesson planning and Prabha Dixit's introduction to the Panchapadi framework and Understanding by Design for effective lesson planning. Anand Krishnaswamy addressed common misconceptions about learning, while Vikramjeet Rooprai shared strategies for integrating subjects across the curriculum. Willbrord George explored the role of AI and educational tools and Balai Raman Jhaile focused on fostering creativity, critical thinking and reasoning in students. Additionally, Sandeep Sethi discussed aligning curricular aims and goals with learning outcomes and Rita Singh talked about career paths and growth opportunities for educators. The TeachCamp was an extremely beneficial experience for the faculty members who attended, providing them with new perspectives and tools to enhance their teaching practices. The knowledge gained from the event will be instrumental in improving lesson planning, fostering creativity and using technology to create more engaging learning experiences for students. These sessions provided valuable insights that will help improve teaching practices, foster innovation and support professional development.
