MAYO COLLEGE, AJMER ( BSAI WORKSHOP FOR RESIDENT DAMES / HOUSEMOTHERS / MATRONS


To Create a Safe, Supportive and Enriching Living Environment.  A Journey from Monitoring to Mentorship. Building Deep Connect.

Boarding Schools Association of India (BSAI) Workshop for Resident Dames / House - Mothers / Matrons was organized and hosted by Mayo College, Ajmer, scheduled from March 15 to March 17, 2024. RKK’s two Wardens - Ms Rosalind Vincent & Ms. Damyanti Charan attended this Workshop.  The Workshop started on 15th March with a Welcome Address by Mr. Saurav Sinha, Principal of Mayo School, followed by an ice - breaking session by Mr. NK Dixit, Headmaster Senior School, Mayo College. A fun outdoor activity – visit to Pushkar was organized on 16th March 2024 and a feedback session was conducted for all the participants on 17th March 2024.

The Workshop was very informative which focused on the pastoral care incorporating initiatives tailored to establish a secure and nurturing environment, providing comprehensive and compassionate care for the boarders’ well- being while also focusing on academics and feeling of being supported, valued and appreciated with a sense of belonging in a caring community.  

There were different sessions held during the course of three days encouraging a journey from monitoring to mentoring.

Session 1 :  Dealt with Child Protection and was presented by Mr. Kuntal Majumdar House Master of Bharatpur House from Mayo College.                                                         

Session 2: Dealt with Emotional and Psychological issues of Students presented by  Ms. Garima Sethi, Behavioral Counselor from Mayo College.                               

Session 3: Delved into Public Speaking/ Professional Communication Skills presented by Mr. Ujjwal Mukherjee, House Master of Bikaner and Tonk House from Mayo College.

Session 4: Enlightened the participants about Table Manners and Dining Etiquette presented by Ms. Anjali Pankaj Narayan & Mr. Ramneek Chandela (Senior Teachers) from Mayo College.

Session 5: Was all about communication with Parents presented by Ms. Rakhee Garg, Senior Teacher and Round Square Representative.

The Workshop was brilliantly curated and it definitely exceeded the expectations of the learners. Learning from experts made things clearer with their many useful and wonderful tips.
