PATHWAYS WORLD SCHOOL, ARAVALI, GURGAON (MU20 ASIA'S BIGGEST HIGH SCHOOL LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE)

A team of 14 students with their Teacher Trainer, Ma’am Jyoti Ratan Singh, set out to attend the first-ever MU20, Residential Programme hosted by the Pathways World School, Gurgaon and organized by the MU20 School of Opportunity. Nestled along the majestic foothills of the Aravalis, Pathways World School greeted the participants with a chilly breeze, yet warm and welcoming faces. The charismatic beauty and greenery mesmerized them and became a paradise for all.

The competition comprised four challenges- The Model UN, The Impact Challenge, The Theatrics Challenge and the Entrepreneurship Challenge, out of which RKK’s delegation participated in the former three. Each challenge was a new and distinctive experience, that allowed each delegate to develop individual opinions, preached the idea of self-reliance and taught them the essence of collaboration.

Day - 1 witnessed the Power Drill, the Inaugural Ceremony, an Open Mic and a Bonfire Dinner, which was a true delight not only because it was cold, but also because everyone interacted and made memories to cherish for life. The Power Drill was an amalgamation of sports, creativity, and quiz rounds to engage the delegates in a fiesta of adventure, teamwork, and thrill. All the delegates were determined to make their teams win, even when it meant working with an entire group of people they had never met before. The Power Drill was also sponsored by Emotorad, an electric bicycle-making Start Up.

Day - 2 commenced with the Semi-Finals of the Power Drill and unfolded the first two Committee Sessions for the respective challenges. Each Committee session witnessed fiery arguments, mindful portrayals, and diplomatic negotiations. In the evening, the finals of the Power Drill took place, wherein the finalists had to build an electric cycle from scratch. Totally stranger to the idea of building cycles, this posed a challenge to the finalists and forced them to push their limits. The other participants were engaged in Kite Flying as a tense ambiance surrounded the finalists. This was followed by a cultural evening and DJ which livened the aura and filled it with ecstasy and joy.

The final day started with a theatrics session conducted by a trainer from Anupam Kher’s Acting School. This session taught them to accept challenges and break barriers within themselves. The remaining two committee sessions followed this, as an array of deliberations and performances broke out. The evening concluded with the Closing Ceremony, which included the much-awaited prize-giving.

On the whole, this experience enabled all fourteen students to discover and unfold the potential within them, along with the additional benefit of getting to behold the sight of the ever-awing Aravali Hills. The proud participants were Rakshita Pitti, Himshika Purohit, Aehaid Kaur Bajwa, Yagnya Tak, Tanusha Singh, Bhavya Bhati and Diva Tater, the delegates of the Model UN Challenge. Charvvi Jaiin, Kashvi Jain, Mehak Bafna, and Pulak Jain from Theatrics Challenge, Ananya Saran, Saanvi Agarwal and Aarohi Bhattacherjee represented the Impact Challenge. Bhavya Bhati received a Special Mention in The Model UN Challenge as the Delegate of India in the Committee - United Nations Development Programme. Aarohi Bhattacherjee received a High Commendation in the Impact Challenge as the stakeholder of Opposition ‘A’ & Ananya Saran received a High Commendation in the Impact Challenge as a stakeholder of Government ‘B’.
