PINEGROVE SCHOOL, SOLAN, DHARAMPUR (HIMACHAL PRADESH) - INTER CULTURAL EXCHANGE PROGRAM (SENDING)

With the same belief, a team of 14 students - Shivranjani Purohit, Hridya Ranawat, Nishtha Gandhi, Nandani Kheeche, Nehal Kanwar, Tanishka Mishra, Parilakshya Goswami, Lavisha Soni, Avni Panpaliya, Vanshika Shekhawat, Gantavyika Singh Deora, Kaavya Dahiya, Vamika Singh and Dhruvi Mehta along with escort teacher Miss Akhileshwari Rathore.

left the portals of RKK on 29th September for the AFS Exchange Program to Pinegrove School, Dharampur, Solan. The next day, they reached their destination and explored the salubrious climbs of Shimla Hills where the host school is located. The second day started with the move to the campsite which was the Shogi village. Enroute, they visited the Jatoli Mahadev temple and the beautiful Mohan Heritage Park, and the day concluded with an exciting DJ and Bonfire at the hotel. The following day commenced with swimming and fun-filled adventure activities namely Burma Bridge Parralel Net Commando net valley crossing and many more. The next day began with a 5 km trek in the serene wilderness of Himachal, covering the destination through the beautiful hills of Shimla while visiting The Indian Institute of Advanced Studies followed by a fun filled time at the very famous shopping destination of Shimla, Mall Road. The Next day was an action-packed practice day, also witnessing the beautiful sunset and the famous church of the beautiful hill station, Kasauli. The sixth day witnessed the activities planned by the host school which culminated with the most graceful performance put up by the RKKians as well as the Grovians on the cultural evening with sumptuous food catered in the Principal's Dinner. The next day with tears rolling the team left the school and commenced their trip to Chandigarh where they gained knowledge about the Armed forces in the

Airforce museum followed by a visit to the famous Rock Garden curated by Padmashri Mr Nek Chand Saini who created a masterpiece with waste material thrown out by the citizens of Chandigarh. The breathtaking view of Sukhna Lake left all of them fascinated. For the night stay, Capt AJ Singh Sir (Executive Director PGS)opened the doors of his beautiful bungalow in Chandigarh for their residence. The last day of the trip started with a  visit to the famous Elante Mall and then left Chandigarh “The City Beautiful“ and boarded train to Jodhpur.
