HOUSE OF LALPUR, PUNJAB (EDUCATIONAL CONCLAVE)


On 23rd September a team of 33 students along with 2 escort teachers Ma'am Sapna Gupta and Ma'am Elizabeth Vincent left for an Educational Conclave under the aegis of  MU20 to the House of Lalpur.  After a day and a half long journey they reached the astonishing Boutique Home  Stay of the House of Lalpur. The students were thrilled to see the majestic fields of Punjabi villages and experienced a beautiful bond with nature.

The team was warmly welcomed by Dr. Sumer Sir and his family. The students after freshening up and having a delicious platter they enjoyed to know about the Rajput history and playing various games in lushious  green lawns. After ending the day with a sumptous dinner everyone played Antrakshri and Rapid fire and then retiered to their beds.  The next day , the students enjoyed the scenic site of Sutlej river where they enjoyed motor boat ride and kayaking followed by  exploring the private forests of Sumer Sir and Jasmer Sir and learnt a lot about local agriculture farms, orchards, flora and fauna, soil type, PH level, method of watering, fertilisers , insects and different crops. On the same day the students presented their artistic skills by painting the walls of House of Lalpur.

The next day, they  woke up early morning for a thrilling adventure of trekking in a forest of Basali and got a chance to visit a Temple and a Mosque built on the same land. Along with that they  also visited a Gurudwara. Their day  ended  on the banks of the river Sutlej,experiencing the beautiful view of sunset with a hi tea followed by a mesmerising DJ party. Day 4  started with a hearty meal followed by sightseeing in Chandigarh and after their return ended  the  day by completing their  leftover wall painting.

On the  last day, after a  delicious breakfast , the team had a talk with Sumer sir on changing geo-political and socio-economic scenario ,  had a tasty lunch and  left for Anandpur Sahib Gurudwara , then boarded the train and returned back to Jodhpur after a thrilling experience. As Nelson Mandela once said “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”. In this conclave, the team was  collectively committed to fostering an environment where knowledge was not just imparted but ignited, where curiosity was not suppressed but cultivated. Together, they  learnt to build a future where every student has an  opportunity to wield the weapon of education and contribute to positive global change and witness the transformative power of education.
