UNMISS – A TALK BY COL. AJAY GARG

On August 22, 2023, the MUN Club organized a guest lecture featuring Colonel Ajay Garg, a distinguished speaker from the Indian Army's Corps of Engineers. With prior experience in the UN’s Peacekeeping Mission in South Sudan, he discussed the significance of United Nations' Peacekeeping Missions in maintaining global harmony. Col. Garg elaborated on the systematic process these missions follow, from obtaining a country's consent to establishing peace in conflict zones. He also highlighted potential career paths at the United Nations, emphasizing the value of staying informed about ongoing events. Following the lecture, students engaged in interactive discussions with Col. Garg, finding the session both informative and beneficial. Their feedback reflected their appreciation for the insights gained.
