A workshop on the National Education Policy (NEP) was held on
22nd April 2023 at India Habitat Centre, Delhi, specifically for Principals, Vice Principals, and Coordinators of IPSC Schools. The workshop was aimed at giving insights into the changes coming in the education system of the country. The workshop was attended by MRS Seema Baxi, Dean Academics – Seniors and Mrs Neeta Johari, dean Academics - Primary.
The workshop was led by high officials of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), who provided finer details about the changes that are coming under the new National Education Policy. The officials who addressed the audience included Mr Anurag Tripathi, Secretary CBSE, Dr Joseph Emanuel, Director Academics at CBSE, Dr Manoj Srivastava, Director Special Exams, Dr Ram Shankar, Director Training, and JK Yadav, Director CTET.
During the workshop, the officials discussed various changes and initiatives that have been taken under the new NEP. The topics discussed included the new academic structure, flexibility in choosing subjects, teaching methods, and assessments. The officials also discussed the changes that are being made to make education more inclusive, accessible, and relevant to the needs of the present times.
The workshop ended with a Q&A session by Mr Anurag Tripathi, which clarified a lot of queries of the audience. The session was interactive, and the officials answered various questions related to the changes and initiatives that are being taken under the new NEP.
