THE SCINDIA SCHOOL, GWALIOR (ENVIRONMENT AND TREES IN INDIA)

“The only way forward, if we are going to improve the quality of the environment, is to get everybody involved”.

On 10th November 2021, The Scindia School, Gwalior organized a Seminar on the topic,  ‘Environment and Trees in India’. Lauren & Vidisha Bindal of Class XI with their Teacher Incharge, Mrs Sapna Gupta participated in the Seminar from Rajmata Krishna Kumari Girls’ Public School, Jodhpur. The Keynote Speaker, Mr Pradip Krishen, an alumni of Mayo College, Ajmer, an Indian Filmmaker and environmentalist talked about his project where he worked on a large rewilding scheme at Rao Jodha Desert Rock Park near Mehrangarh Fort in Jodhpur. It was an enriching experience for students to learn about different types of trees which are grown according to their native vegetation, habitat and other factors. The seminar gave an insight about Mr Pradip Krishen’s forthcoming environment projects and an opportunity to interact and share ideas on future projects.

This enlightening session was like our planet’s alarming call to wake up & take action.
