VIRTUAL EXCHANGE PROGRAM WITH INSTITUTO PIERRE DE COUBERTIN IN OAXACA, MÉXICO

"La victoria viene de encontrar oportunidades en los problemas." The quote by Sun Tzu, which says , "Victory comes from finding opportunities in problems, " best explains the virtual meet of the students of RKK and Instituto Pierre De Coubertin In Oaxaca, Mexico. Even there are barriers due to the COVID- 19 pandemic, we leave no stone unturned so as to grab opportunities. With a few requisite topics, such as Indian culture, cuisine and must visit destinations, endangered and endemic species in India, we concluded by discussing what are we, responsible students of India, are doing to help our Mother Earth as we all know, there is an alternative for everything except for Mother Earth.

The Virtual Exchange Program on 25th of September 2020 with Instituto Pierre de Coubertin in Oaxaca, México was indeed an enriching and insightful experience for Nehal Gehlot, Aadyaa Vivek, Jaya Sankhla, Niharika Pamnani, Udita Singh, Shreya Parakh, Shruti Rathi, Shreaa Rathi and Nandini Shekhawat of Class IX. Participants gained immense knowledge about the endemic and endangered species of Mexico and India.

Mexican students made intriguing presentations and showed endangered wildlife creatures and plants of their country. They were full of curiosity to know about Indian culture and asked questions about the famous Indian dish 'Aloo gobi' and Hindu God, 'Lord Ganesh', RKKians answered their questions with great generosity and explanation. To make the exchange more exciting a few traditional Rajasthani performances were showcased which the Mexican students enjoyed and praised a lot.  Important takeaways for this Virtual Exchange Program were - students became more confident, interactive, extrovert, gregarious and active global citizens.  They became more aware and concerned about environment. This interaction motivated  them to do all  within their sphere to save Mother Earth. By the end of the day students felt themselves to be active environmentalists.
