VIRTUAL RS CONFERENCE - YUGEN: A GLOBAL COLLABORATIVE PLATFORM FOR THE YOUTH


When the world is running down, you make the best of what’s still around. Technology now allows people to connect anytime, anywhere to anyone in the world from almost any device. 

A Virtual RS Conference was hosted by Pathways World School Aravali from 3rd to 5th July 2020 with the help of an online conferencing platform Zoom in which the participants who experienced this wonderful event were  Avni Jain, Destiny Bhansali, Harshita Bhandari, Niharika Singhvi, Hemangini Bhati, Gauri Baxi, Aanya Singh, Mannat Mehta and Aastha Vyas.

The theme of the Conference was Yugen: A collaboration platform for youth to come up with viable solutions for trying times. The conference was all about world's  current situation, sparkling discussion among the youth about the effects/consequences of the novel coronavirus around the world and understanding roles as global citizens to work towards the Round Square IDEALS.

There were many schools that participated in this Conference all across the country and from different corners of the world. To name a few : 

• The Millennium School, Dubai 

 • The Doon School, Dehradun 

 • Chittagong Grammar School, Chittagong, Bangladesh 

 • The Punjab Public School, Nabha 

 • Dhirubhai Ambani International School, Mumbai

 • Rajmata Krishna Kumari Girls’ Public School, Jodhpur  
 
The participants from different schools were divided into different Virtual Baraza groups. In the Baraza sessions discussions were held on a plethora of diverse ideas and immersion in fruitful dialogues concerning global issues caused by the COVID-19 pandemic such as mental health, financial instability, political turbulence etc. The Conference ended with realistic conclusions on pressing issues, thereby helping the participants to connect, know more and increases the thrive to discover and explore. There were wonderful lobbies of 16 Keynote Speakers from all over the world who inspired and motivated the participants and audience with their positive thoughts to deal with such hard  times.
