SCINDIA KANYA VIDYALAYA, GWALIOR (IPSC LEADERSHIP CONCLAVE - 2024)

On October 5, six enthusiastic student journalists and their escort teacher, Mrs. Sandhya Mudgal, embarked on an inspiring journey to the All India IPSC Students’ Conclave 2024, hosted by Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya, Gwalior from 7th to 9th  October 2024. RKK’s Editorial Board comprised-

The Conclave kicked off with the Opening Ceremony followed by the Flag March past. After the group photograph, participants engaged in an interactive workshop led by Ms. Sunetra Choudhary, the National Editor for political affairs at ‘Hindustan Times’, who emphasized upon the global impact of journalism.

The participants were divided into two groups. The first group took part in the Tag Haven Graffiti Activity, unleashing their creativity on canvas, while the other focused on writing articles for the newsletter. The day continued with an insightful session by Mr. Anup Gupta, the Managing Editor of ‘Hindustan Times’, who shared valuable tips on designing eye-catching newsletters. Following this, participants explored the Gwalior Fort, marveling at the architecture and rich history.

Day two commenced with presentations from various teams showcasing best practices of their school publications. Mr. Ankit Nathani, a Podcaster, then led an engaging session on usage of social media to amplify school narratives. The evening captivated everyone with the Inter House Choreography Competition, featuring mesmerizing performances based on mythological tales, followed by a delightful Principal’s Dinner.

The final day began with the Editathon, blending creativity with interactive sports activities. After going through their newsletters and videos one last time, participants enjoyed a visit to the magnificent Jai  Vilas Palace. The Closing Ceremony provided a platform for all teams to share their experiences, reflecting their hard work and creativity throughout the conclave. This Conclave was a transformative experience that highlighted the essence of journalism.
