A Hindi workshop was organised by Fullmarks.com for the Primary as well as Pre-Primary teachers where by various concepts of Hindi Grammar in tandem with the NCF and FLN3.o. were covered.
The significant points discussed were:
1. Integration of Music in Hindi teaching especially vyakaran eg - vyakaran song
2. Laying emphasis on conversation and oral practice.
3. Use of activities, creativity like Mind map, Poster making, Guessing words game ,Chinese whisper etc were emphasised.
4. Encouraging creative expression and telling the importance as well as real life benefits of language.
5. The genre or Vidhayein of teaching the Hindi Language namely Naatak (Drama) ,Lokkatha (folk tales),Atma katha – autobiography Sansmaran (memoir )and so on to be used.
6. Increasing interest, engagement, curiosity by using cliff-hangers, alternate endings, previews etc. were elaborated upon.
7. Logic behind the use of bindu and chandrabindu, ref and paden shabdas, bina khari paayi and adhoori khari paayi waale shabd etc were brought up.
8. Focusing on dialogue and oral practice was stressed on.
9. Encouraging creative expression and communicating the relevance and practical benefits of language.
The teachers gained a lot from the integration and were able to improve their skills significantly. It was a very informative and interesting session.
