World Head Injury Awareness Day is a public health and awareness campaign that falls on the 20th of March every year. In order to raise awareness and educate the young students on how head injuries can be prevented, an awareness program was conducted in RKK on
20th March 2018 from 8:00 to 10:00 am. Guest Speakers, Dr Nagendra Sharma, Senior Neuro Surgeon, Smt Nirmala Bishnoi, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Jodhpur, Dr Pukhraj Rajpurohit, Physiotherapist, Yuvraj Shivraj Singh Nero Rehab Centre, Rajdadisa Hospital, Mr Hanuman Singh Rajpurohit, Head Constable, Traffic Police, Dr Charu Khatri, Dr Asad, Dr Surbhi, Physiotherapists, Rajdadisa Hospital and Mr Nemichand, Constable, Traffic Police, Jodhpur graced the portals of RKK with their benign presence. A warm Welcome & Vote of Thanks was accorded to the distinguished guests by Karishma Maheshwari. Kanika Singh and Muskan Bhagchandani introduced the Speakers to the audience. The introductory speech by Dr Pukhraj Rajpurohit was an eye opener and very enlightening. Smt Nirmala Bishnoi and Mr Hanuman Singh Rajpurohit advocated the correct use of safety devices like seat belts and helmets which play a crucial role in preventing damage to the brain during accidents. Dr Nagendra Sharma generated awareness about the need to avoid head injuries and prevent permanent disablement and other serious consequences like death, blindness, deafness, loss of speech and language, epilepsy, cognitive disabilities, psychosocial issues, memory loss, mild to severe paralysis and other neurological and neuropsychiatric issues. It was a blessing to get such an opportunity that presented students with golden suggestions n guidance in preparation for life.
This session made the students realize that Safety isn't expensive; it’s priceless. Safety is no gadget; it’s a state of mind and they are the key to their own safety.
