Major Ravinder Singh Rawat, a Saurya Chakra recipient, delivered an inspiring talk titled "Indian Army - A Way of Life," motivating Boarders of class V to XII to consider a career in the Indian Army on 21st October 2024.
The session began with Major Rawat introducing the prestigious gallantry awards and highlighting the remarkable achievements of past recipients, encouraging students that they too could aspire to earn these honors. He discussed essential qualities for joining the Indian Army, emphasizing the various benefits of this noble profession.

· Major Rawat then outlined the core values or "ethos" upheld in the Indian Army, such as: Discipline, Spirit-de-corps, Selfless sacrifice, Secularism, Fairness and honesty, Integrity and loyalty, Honor and courage, Forthrightness. These principles, form the backbone of a soldier’s life and guide the army's mission in safeguarding the nation.
· Elaborating on the Army's diverse roles, he explained tasks ranging from war fighting to ensuring internal security, peacekeeping, and providing humanitarian assistance during natural disasters. To make the talk more interactive, he led students through a simulated "operation," teaching them how to command and act in emergency scenarios. Students enthusiastically participated, engaging in spirited discussion and posing questions about the army’s challenges.
