DESIGNING WORKSHOP REPORT

The Graphics lab buzzed with excitement as budding designers gathered for an enlightening workshop led by the distinguished guests, Sir Aditya Chauhan and Sir Abhishek Singh Rajpurohit. The event aimed to cultivate creativity and design thinking among students, emphasizing hands-on learning and professional insights in the world of design.

The workshop kicked off with a warm welcome, setting a positive tone for the day. Sir Aditya Chauhan, a renowned fashion and apparel designer with over 11 years of experience, took center stage.

Sir Aditya commenced his session by introducing students to various fields within design, highlighting the diverse opportunities available in the industry. He expertly guided participants on navigating their career paths, discussing the importance of aligning personal passions with professional goals.

A significant focus of the workshop was on the importance of brainstorming and mind mapping as fundamental tools in the ideation process. Aditya Sir illustrated how these techniques can unlock creativity and enhance problem-solving abilities, essential skills for any designer. He provided real-world examples, demonstrating how successful designers use these methods to refine their concepts and develop innovative solutions. The students were particularly responsive, eagerly absorbing the insights shared and contemplating how to implement them in their own creative processes.

One of the most engaging aspects of the workshop was a hands-on logo design activity. Students were transformed into designers tasked with creating logos for a fictional Chinese restaurant. This activity served as a practical application of the concepts discussed earlier, allowing participants to unleash their creativity in a structured setting. The excitement in the room was palpable as students brainstormed ideas, sketched designs, and collaborated with peers.

After completing their logos, students showcased their creations in a mini-exhibition. Each design was presented with enthusiasm, followed by a thorough discussion facilitated by Sir Aditya and Sir Abhishek. The feedback session was invaluable; the guests offered constructive critiques and insights, helping students to refine their ideas and appreciate the nuances of effective logo design. This interactive component not only highlighted the students’ efforts but also fostered a sense of community and collaboration among participants.

The collaborative spirit and innovative thinking displayed during the workshop underscored the importance of creativity in shaping future designers. Students left feeling inspired, equipped with new ideas and strategies to enhance their design practices. The event not only aimed to educate but also to empower students to embrace their artistic potential and pursue their passions with renewed confidence.
