In a significant step toward ensuring the digital safety of our students and the broader school community, RKK has established a dedicated Cyber Squad. Comprising 39 students from classes VI to XI, the Cyber Squad will function as Cyber Safety Ambassadors, working throughout the year to safeguard the online presence of their peers and promote positive use of the internet and mobile devices.
The formation of the Cyber Squad was part of a comprehensive workshop led by
Mr. Rakshit Tandon, a renowned cyber expert. The workshop aimed to equip these selected students with the necessary knowledge and skills to address various cyber safety issues that may arise within the school environment. Mr. Tandon emphasized the importance of staying informed about the ever-evolving digital landscape and how proactive measures can prevent potential threats.
The Cyber Squad is not merely a group of students but a well-structured team trained to become master trainers within the school. These Cyber Safety Ambassadors will act as trainers and facilitators, continuously updating their knowledge through regular interactions with Mr. Tandon's team of cyber experts. This connection ensures that the squad remains at the forefront of online safety, ready to assist their peers with any issues they may encounter.
The objectives of the Cyber Squad Program are multifaceted:
Training and Empowerment: The program aims to empower students by providing them with in-depth training in cyber safety. This training will enable them to act as master trainers, spreading awareness and knowledge throughout the school.
Peer Facilitation: The Cyber Squad will act as facilitators, helping their peers navigate any cyber safety issues they may face. They will also promote the positive use of the internet and mobile devices, ensuring that students use these tools responsibly.
Community Impact: The Cyber Squad will extend its influence beyond the student body, working to ensure the digital safety of the entire school community, including parents. This initiative is a critical step in creating a safe and secure online environment for all.
