A session on ‘Financial Literacy’ was conducted on 12th August 2024 in the Mini Auditorium. The session was led by Ms. Pooja Rathi Dhoot, a distinguished Chartered Accountant and Company Secretary, and an esteemed alumnus of RKKGPS. The session was attended by students of Grades 11 and 12.
The session commenced at 7:40 a.m. with an introduction to the phrase ‘financial literacy.’ Mrs. Rathi explained the significance of financial literacy in today’s world, emphasizing its importance for young adults.
Students were provided with valuable information about different types of taxes like, direct and indirect taxes, highlighting their relevance in everyday life. Ms Pooja Rathi also spoke about Chartered Accountancy (CA) as a career option, discussing the functions and opportunities available to CAs. Her guidance was particularly motivational, encouraging students to consider career planning seriously.
The session was highly interactive, with students asking pertinent questions regarding the topics discussed. The resource person’s responses were insightful and added great value to the discussion. She also emphasized the importance of effective study habits.
Overall, the session was informative and well-received, providing the students with a better understanding of financial literacy and the significance of pursuing a career as a Chartered Accountant (CA).
