‘The future depends on what you do today’
RKKGPS’s New Library was abuzz with anticipation as boarders of classes IX to XII eagerly awaited a special workshop conducted by alumni Krishna Shekhawat and her friend Mr. Bryant Lee. Krishna, a PhD scholar in History of Art from California and a member of the 2014 batch, returned to her alma mater to share her journey and inspire the next generation. Accompanying her was Mr. Bryant Lee, a Harvard-trained Lawyer, who brought his wealth of knowledge to the session.
The workshop aimed to provide with valuable insights into career paths and practical advice on preparing for their futures. The event began with a warm welcome followed by Krishna and Bryant’s engaging recount of their educational background and career progression.
Mr. Bryant Lee enticed the boarders by talking about his diligence as a student and the necessary skills required to reach a top university.
Moreover, Bryant emphasized the significance of focusing on specialisation in interested fields and finding a natural flair in achieving career success. Moreover, he stressed having a strong foundation to attain set targets by also adding value to society.
Nevertheless, Ms. Krishna also stressed the importance of diligence as a student, highlighting how her hard work and perseverance during her school years laid the foundation for her current success as a curator.
An interactive Q&A session allowed students to ask questions about various career choices, challenges, and opportunities. Mr. Bryant and Ms. Krishna provided thoughtful answers and practical tips, including advice on balancing academics with extracurricular activities, adversities of using social media and also about using AI only as a tool to secure one's uniqueness.
The students' engrossed active participation highlighted the success of the workshop. Overall, the workshop was hands-on in achieving its goal of guiding students through the complexities of shifting paradigms in these changing times.
