A session led by Dr. Amrita Duhan, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Jodhpur East, was organized on 18th August 2023. The aim of the session was to empower girls from classes VIII to XII with knowledge and strategies to protect themselves against various forms of crimes and challenges they might encounter.
Dr. Amrita Duhan began the session by explaining to students the kind of harassment the girls face inside and outside their home. She introduced various government initiatives and programs aimed at ensuring the safety and well-being of girls. She discussed how these initiatives are designed to create a secure environment for girls and promote gender equality. The students were informed about the legal framework in place to safeguard their rights and ensure a safe society.
During the session, Dr. Duhan and her team provided guidance to the students on how to respond effectively when faced with challenging situations. The students were encouraged to raise their voice against any form of harassment or injustice and to report such incidents promptly.
