The seminar on "Stream Selection after Class 10" provided a platform for students of classes IX and X to gain insights into choosing the right academic path. The session offered expert advice and real-life examples and successfully guided the students towards making informed decisions.
The seminar commenced with a comprehensive keynote address delivered by the resource person, Mr Praveen Kumar, an expert in educational counselling. The speaker highlighted the significance of stream selection as a pivotal point in a student's academic journey. He emphasized on the importance of associating oneself with the new age careers and the need of skill sets to be evolved with technology.
The students were made aware of the expected careers after 2026,(like Space Tourism Guide, Virtual Reality Architect, Genetic Counsellor ,etc.) and the subjects needed for them. The importance of understanding one’s orientation style, finding one’s area of interest, getting in touch with emotional intelligence and taking up subjects one can learn, were discussed. A detailed information on subject combinations were also given.
