It was an interactive session with
‘Mr. Manu Sharma’, the General Manager, Umaid Bhawan Palace on 3rd December 2022. The workshop was conducted briefing ‘Career in Hospitality’ for the students of classes X to XII. The session started with an introduction of the esteemed guest speaker, who further introduced himself as the custodian of Royal Legacies. Mr Sharma’s introductory words gave an insight into his life to the students. Mentioning the Taj Hotels as the strongest hotel group of the world, the speaker described the influence of TATA Group in hospitality industry. He mentioned how TATA Group has established over 251 hotels across the globe.
He ignited an interest in the hospitality industry among the students telling them the ways to opt it as a career. The students were then introduced to various Associate Development Programs like HDP, HOT, THT , DIWA etc. The session ended with a QnA round where he answered students’ queries regarding the industry, probably making it the best part of the session. The students inculcated their minds with out of the box thinking and thought of hospitality as a career rather than orthodox career options.
